Position Overview
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides comprehensive psychiatric care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients within an outpatient setting. This includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions. The PMHNP utilizes evidence-based pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions and delivers patient and family education. Services are rendered under a Collaborative Practice Agreement and the supervision of a psychiatrist. The PMHNP works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, supports clinical staff through consultation and supervision, and participates in ongoing professional development, quality improvement, and organizational initiatives.

Education, Certification, and Licensure
Education: Master's degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program.
Certification: Certification as a PMHNP by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Indiana with prescriptive authority, and DEA license (or eligibility) for prescribing controlled substances.
