The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care to patients across the lifespan, including the assessment, diagnosis, and management of mental health conditions. The PMHNP collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care and is committed to patient-centered approaches that promote wellness and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

•Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including patient histories, physical examinations, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments.

•Diagnose and manage acute and chronic psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders.

•Develop individualized treatment plans that may include prescribing psychotropic medications, psychotherapy, and other evidence-based interventions.

•Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and supportive counseling for patients in acute psychiatric distress.

•Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans as needed, ensuring compliance with evidence-based guidelines and standards of care.

•Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

•Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, medications, and preventive care.

•Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulations.

•Participate in quality improvement initiatives, case conferences, and continuing education to stay current with best practices in mental health care.

•Advocate for patients' rights and access to mental health services within the community.

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
