Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatrist/PMHNP

Responsibilities:

Will consider mentoring new grads.

-Must live in Alaska near Anchorage!!!!

-Provide TMS Evaluations, Mapping and treatment (treatments are usually provided by other trained staff.) You will be trained to do TMS.

- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients

- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders, including prescribing medication and providing therapy

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans

- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary

- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options

- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Experience:

- New graduates welcome as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

- Experience working in community behavioral health, private practice or in patient preferred.

- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations and formulating treatment plans

- Knowledge of current standards and guidelines for psychiatric care, including ICD-10 coding
