We are a rapidly growing outpatient psychiatric practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to adults and geriatric patients. Our clinicians include psychiatrists, psychiatric NPs, and PAs. We are seeking an experienced LPN with a strong background in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing to join our team as a key support to both clinicians and patients.
Responsibilities
•Process and manage medication refills based on clinician protocols and state regulations.
•Complete and track prior authorizations for psychiatric medications
•Serve as a patient liaison, responding to patient messages, triaging concerns, and communicating with clinicians as needed.
•Review medication lists, allergies, and histories for accuracy in the EHR.
•Coordinate with pharmacies, insurance companies, and external providers.
•Assist clinicians with patient follow-up needs, lab reminders, and treatment coordination.
•Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to HIPAA and practice policies.
•Support quality improvement initiatives and help refine workflows within the practice.
Qualifications
•Active LPN license in Ohio
•Psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience required with at least 3 years of experience
•Strong understanding of psychiatric medications, controlled substance workflows, and medication safety.
•Prior experience with insurance prior authorizations strongly preferred.
•Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
•Proficient with EHR systems, secure messaging platforms, and telehealth tools.
•Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
•Experience working in a behavioral health settings preferred
•Experience with mental health assessments is highly valued
•Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to psychiatric care.
•Ability to perform injections
•Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
•Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $ $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
