Job Title: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Texas

FLSA Status: Contract/1099/Hourly

Job Type: Part time

Imperial Health is looking for a Psychiatric NP for our growing clinic. We are seeking a psych NP who is a fast learner and able to see all patients without problem.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Required Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner currently licensed without restrictions in the state of Texas

· Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will evaluate and manage new patients, requiring: a comprehensive history; a comprehensive examination; and medical decision-making of high complexity

· Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will evaluate and manage established patients, requiring: a comprehensive history; a comprehensive examination; medical decision-making of high complexity.

· Weigh the risks and benefits of initiating treatment with psychotherapeutic medications

· Conduct comprehensive multi-informant, multi-modal, multi-disciplinary assessments

· Routine monitoring for medication benefits and side-effects

· Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive assessments, psychoeducation, and clearly defined treatment expectations for different diagnosis such as ADHD, behavioral, anxiety, insomnia, depressive or obsessive-compulsive disorders

· Consider co-morbid developmental language disorder, Specific Learning Disorder or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

· Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide parent management/skills training or other behavioral interventions that can be used at home and/or school

· Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide medication assisted treatments for ADHD, anxiety, depressive and obsessive-compulsive disorders

· Maintain an open line of communication with care providers, patients, and their family members in order to efficiently address treatment concerns

· Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:

· PMHNP with a collaborating physician (Required)

· DEA Certification

· At least one year of experience

· Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records

· Experience with TherapyNotes (Preferred)

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
