Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of psychiatric care and demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality mental health services to patients. You’ll be at the heart of our dual-diagnosis programming—working closely with our nursing staff, therapists, and the rest of our clinical team to ensure every patient’s mental and substance-use needs are met with compassion, rigor, and a touch of Vermont warmth.
Responsibilities
•Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
•Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
•Provide psychotherapy and medication management.
•Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
•Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
•Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
•Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
•Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed.
•Provide telehealth services to enhance accessibility for patients.
