Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/PNCP) - Behavioral Health
Location: Kalispell, MT
Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/PNCP) to provide high-quality, integrated behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will diagnosis, treat, and manage mental health conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team in a patient-centered medical home environment.
Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients across the lifespan
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
Conduct mental health assessments and document treatment plans
Monitor patient progress and medication outcomes
Order and interpret laboratory tests
Deliver patient and family education on mental health conditions and treatments
Collaborate with primary care providers, medical director, and behavioral health team
Coordinate care and provide referrals to community resources
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Support integrated care delivery within a behavioral health and primary care setting
Qualifications (Required)
Graduate degree in Psychiatric Nursing
Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP or PNCP)
Active Montana APRN license (or eligibility)
Current DEA license with prescriptive authority
Valid Montana driver's license
Preferred Experience
Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Experience in integrated behavioral health or primary care setting
Required Knowledge and Skills
Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
Experience with behavioral health screening tools and assessments
Motivational interviewing
Case management principles
OSHA and HIPAA compliance
Immunization standards
Familiarity with community mental health resources
Excellent clinical documentation and reporting skills
