Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP) to join our behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality psychiatric care, including evaluations, medication management, and follow-up treatment for patients with a variety of mental health conditions. This position may be based in a clinical, community, or correctional setting, depending on location and need.
Key Responsibilities:
•Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of geriatric patients.
•Diagnose and manage mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, dementia-related behaviors, and psychosis.
•Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
•Collaborate with facility staff, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
•Educate families and staff on psychiatric conditions and behavioral management strategies.
•Maintain accurate, timely documentation through EHR systems.
Qualifications:
•Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with an active and unrestricted AZ license.
•Experience in geriatric psychiatry, long-term care, or similar settings strongly preferred.
