Duties
•Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and physical evaluations to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
•Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatments accordingly to optimize outcomes.
•Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling tailored to individual needs, including behavioral health interventions.
•Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
•Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
•Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
•Participate in case management activities, discharge planning, and follow-up care to support ongoing recovery and stability.
Skills
•Proven experience with psychiatric medication management and psychopharmacology principles.
•Strong knowledge of mental health assessment tools and diagnostic criteria such as ICD-10 coding standards.
•Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote patient monitoring technologies for outpatient care delivery.
•Ability to perform physical examinations related to behavioral health conditions and coordinate diagnostic evaluations like laboratory testing or neuroimaging when necessary.
•Experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
•Competence in utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth for documentation and clinical workflows.
•Knowledge of legal frameworks including Workers' Compensation law and confidentiality standards under HIPAA. Pay: $115,591.06 - $139,206.44 per year
