Job Summary
Specializes in the mental health needs of FIU students and develops appropriate treatment plans adhering to evidence-based guidelines. Conducts initial psychiatric evaluations and provides individual treatment to FIU students with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric disorders.
Conducts initial psychiatric evaluations to determine the mental health needs of FIU students and develops appropriate treatment plans adhering to evidence based guidelines.
Provides individual treatment to FIU students with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric disorders.
Prescribes appropriate medication for FIU students with behavioral health issues and continuity of care by monitoring reactions to the medication and treatment regime.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's of Science in Nursing and four (4) years of experience as an APRN.
Licenses and Certifications:
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Departmental Requirements
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Florida license (PMHNP)
Must obtain Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification within three (3) months of hire.
