We invite a caring Psychiatric Mental Health NP to join a thriving outpatient primary care practice in this historic, riverside city 45 minutes from Portland and 15 minutes from Augusta. This practice is operated by a 190 bed regional medical center in north Augusta. This physician led medical center is the region’s largest private employer and Maine’s third largest healthcare system, committed to positively impacting the health of the community through services and involvement. An updated practice model calls for the inclusion of a mental health provider in each of the hospital’s outpatient primary care groups. Your role is to collaborate with physicians and primary care APPs to support well-rounded patient health. Other behavioral health providers are on site here. Including care management and counseling services. You will join as a psychiatric clinical leader, providing direct patient care and aiding others in decision making, developing and implementing treatment plans and improving overall care quality. You will make psychiatric evaluations and provide counseling and medication recommendations for patients- mostly adults, along with some families. You will have an excellent referral network and plenty of support. Enjoy a convenient weekday schedule (32 hours/week with patients, 8 hours admin time) practicing in a modern, comfortable setting.
