Substances Registration Certificate (DEA)
of required documentation
1. Work hours prescribed and any additional hours deemed necessary for the
responsibilities assigned.
2. Conduct psychiatric and health assessments, providing follow-up care and
appropriate medication management.
3. Deliver brief or structured psychotherapies (e.g., CBT-informed
interventions, supportive therapy, motivational interviewing) and provide
psychoeducation to patients and families.
4. Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care clinicians, therapists, social
workers, and community agencies to coordinate referrals for verifying levels of
care
5. Evaluate and manage acute psychiatric crises, and initiate safety planning
and emergency interventions.
6. Routinely screen for substance use, trauma, and social determinants of
health. Address comorbid medical conditions in coordination with primary care
and promote lifestyle interventions supporting mental health
7. Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation that adheres to state
scope-of-practice laws and collaborative agreements. Follow appropriate
prescribing regulations (controlled substances, PDMP review).
8. Participate in quality initiatives, support evidence-based practice
implementation, and engage in ongoing continuing education
9. Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives as assigned.
10. Engage in Infection Control activities and stay informed about current
infection control practices.
11. Maintain certification in adult and infant/child CPR.
12. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the
Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
13. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
14. As assigned, performs CLIA-waved laboratory testing and related quality
control activities in accordance with CLIA requirements, manufacturer
instructions, infection control protocols, and organizational procedures.
