Job Summary

The duties for the Psychiatric NP position include providing mental health care, conduct medication check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests and prescribe medication for children and adults.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Conduct Psychiatric Evaluations

•Coordinate with therapists regarding the care of the patient

•Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.

•Prescribe medications following the clinic’s policy, formulary and relevant regulations of the State

•Monitoring the results of medicated and non-medicated treatments

•Counsel patients about possible side effects, drug regimens or interactions with other substances

•Detect and respond to adverse drug reactions

•Work with the families of the patients

•May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.

•Educate patients about self-management of mental health illnesses

•Loan reimbursement opportunities available

•Must be willing to commute to or relocate to Cumberland or the surrounding areas. Not a telehealth position.

•Master's

License:

•Licensed in Maryland as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
