Remote PMHNP - Telehealth (IL, WA, OR, AZ, NM)

WHO WE ARE

Tessahealth is an outpatient psychiatry and therapy practice providing telehealth medication management and therapy across Illinois, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and New Mexico. We accept PPO commercial insurance only (Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, UHC, Humana, Oscar, Optum, and others), which means our providers work with patients who have strong insurance coverage and fewer access barriers.

Our clinical support team handles scheduling, billing, insurance verifications, FMLA and disability forms, prior authorizations, pharmacy coordination, and patient communications. Providers focus on seeing patients and making clinical decisions. That's the model.

THE ROLE

We're looking for PMHNPs to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapy, and ADHD testing via telehealth for adults and teens 13+. Our patient panel is PPO commercial insurance only, which means fewer access barriers and stronger reimbursement.

Hiring states: Illinois, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico.

We are also open to PMHNPs licensed in other full practice authority states.

COMPENSATION

Estimated annual earnings: $175,000 to $400,000+, depending on caseload, experience, and licensure. There is no cap to earnings.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position with a fee-for-service model. You earn a competitive percentage of collected insurance reimbursements for each patient you see. The exact split is negotiable and discussed during the interview based on your experience, caseload commitment, and number of active state licenses. There are no productivity caps.

WHAT YOU GET

Schedule Control: Set your own hours and patient load. Full-time (8 to 15+ sessions per day, no cap) or part-time options available. Most providers settle into the 8 to 12 range.

Administrative Support: A dedicated medical assistant team handles all operations, including scheduling, billing, FMLA/disability paperwork, pharmacy issues, prior authorizations, and patient communications, so you can focus on clinical care.

Technology: DrChrono EHR, Google Workspace with HIPAA compliance, HeidiHealth AI Scribe, secure telehealth platform, e-prescribing tools, clinical reference resources, and hands-on training.

Collaboration: Work alongside in-house PMHNPs and therapists. Our combined treatment model (psychiatry + therapy under one roof) is a core part of how we deliver care.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MSN, DNP, or post-master's certificate in PMHNP from an accredited program

- Current, unrestricted APRN license in one or more of our hiring states (IL, WA, OR, AZ, NM)

- Board certification as a PMHNP-BC

- Proficiency with electronic health records

- Professional malpractice insurance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bilingual in Spanish

- Vietnamese, Mandarin, or other second language

- Licensure in multiple hiring states, especially those with full practice authority

- Active DEA registration with controlled substance prescribing ability

- 2+ years clinical psychiatric experience (strong new graduates also considered)

- Experience with adults and teens 13+

- Experience with MAT/opioid use disorder treatment
