Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program - a student loan payment reimbursement program. Duties
The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) practices in Mental Health (MH) Service to provide a full range of services emphasizing quality - timeliness - and the advancement of the Veterans Affairs (VA) mission
The PMHNP provides advanced clinical practice - consultation - and management
The El Paso VA Healthcare System is an outpatient facility serving medical - surgical - and psychiatric clinics - in addition to community-based outpatient clinics (CBOC)
Home-Based Primary Care is provided in the veteran's home and tele-health options are used throughout the system
Substantial portions of the catchment area are rural
Behavioral Health Service (BHS) is an interdisciplinary - specialty department that provides outpatient treatment to Veterans with a wide range of diagnostic profiles
Providers are assigned to small teams and work within these teams to provide intensive Behavioral health services
Providers in BHS are expected to effectively manage crises and same-day access requests in addition to routine medication management
