Remote Contractor Role | California
Neurodiversity Care Center
Helping You Restore Focus, Energy & Stability
The Neurodiversity Care Center is seeking a thoughtful, collaborative Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing multidisciplinary practice specializing in ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, burnout, trauma, and nervous system regulation.
We are building a different kind of mental health practice — one that integrates neuroscience, psychotherapy, functional mental health, and neurodiversity-affirming care.
This is not a high-volume medication management role.
We are looking for a clinician who values:
• Thoughtful, relationship-based care
• Nervous system-informed treatment
• Collaborative interdisciplinary work
• Integrative and functional mental health approaches
• Sustainable caseloads and ethical prescribing
Our Clinical Model
Our team integrates:
• CBT, ACT, somatic and regulation-based therapy
• Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Brainspotting
• Art therapy and expressive modalities
• Executive-function support
• Integrative mental health approaches, including nutrition, micronutrient evaluation, and lifestyle-based interventions
We primarily work with:
• High-functioning ADHD and AuDHD adults and teens
• Late-identified autistic clients
• Burnout and chronic stress presentations
• Professionals and creatives navigating nervous system dysregulation
Responsibilities
• Psychiatric evaluations and medication management
• ADHD and co-occurring condition treatment
• Collaborative treatment planning with therapists
• Thoughtful stimulant and non-stimulant prescribing
• Telehealth and in-person appointments
• Maintaining compliant documentation and prescribing practices in accordance with California regulations
Ideal Candidate
We are especially interested in a PMHNP who:
• Has experience treating ADHD across the lifespan
• Understands high-masking autism and AuDHD presentations
• Is interested in functional/integrative psychiatry
• Appreciates the connection between nervous system regulation, stress, sleep, nutrition, and mental health
• Values depth over volume
• Practices from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective
Experience with:
• Functional lab interpretation
• Nutritional psychiatry
• Hormone-informed mental health
• Burnout recovery
is a plus, but not required.
Position Details
• Part-time role (W-2)
• Hourly compensation
• Hybrid (telehealth + in-person)
• Flexible scheduling
• California license required
• Candidate must maintain or secure required medical supervision/collaborative agreement as applicable under California law
• Opportunity to grow with the practice over time
About Us
Neurodiversity Care Center is an expanding integrative mental health practice focused on helping clients restore focus, energy, and stability through thoughtful, whole-person care.
We believe many ADHD and autism-related struggles are deeply connected to chronic nervous system dysregulation — and that meaningful treatment requires more than symptom management alone.
To inquire, please send your CV and a brief introduction describing your clinical interests and approach to care.
