Professional Growth Opportunities
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices.
Diagnose psychiatric and behavioral health disorders.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including controlled substances in accordance with Texas regulations.
Monitor medication effectiveness and adverse reactions.
Provide psychotherapy interventions as clinically appropriate.
Coordinate care with primary care providers, therapists, case managers, and specialists.
Conduct suicide risk assessments, crisis evaluations, and safety planning.
Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic studies as needed.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medication risks, and wellness strategies.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical team meetings.
Support integrated behavioral health initiatives throughout the organization.
Participate in telepsychiatry services as needed.
Qualifications
Education
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialization
Certification
PMHNP-BC (Board Certified)
Licensure
Current unrestricted Texas APRN License
Texas Prescriptive Authority
Active DEA Registration
Experience
Minimum two (2) years of PMHNP experience preferred
Experience treating both pediatric and adult populations preferred
Outpatient psychiatry and integrated care experience preferred
Additional Requirements
Current BLS Certification
Strong clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Commitment to culturally competent, patient-centered care
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Texas Practice Requirements
Texas Nurse Practitioners practice under state-specific regulations regarding physician collaboration and prescriptive authority. Aimergency Connect Healthcare maintains all required supervisory and collaborative arrangements to ensure compliance with Texas law.

Monday through Friday
Daytime clinic hours
Occasional evening availability based on patient needs
