Vita Nova Ketamine & Wellness Clinic is a physician-led interventional psychiatry and wellness practice in Baltimore serving adults with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain — patients who have been failed by conventional treatment and finally get better here. We're hiring a PMHNP to own our Spravato program and build a long-term psychiatric patient panel.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Own the Spravato program from day one: design protocols, manage patient journeys, and grow to 15-25 active patients within 6 months with full clinic support. Practice comprehensive psychiatry with 30-45 minute appointments, medication management integrated with supportive therapy, and individualized treatment plans. Integrate multiple modalities: ketamine infusion therapy, Spravato, traditional psychopharmacology, and IV nutritional psychiatry (NAD+, vitamin therapy). Build long-term therapeutic relationships — patients stay for months or years, and we track outcomes (PHQ-9, GAD-7) and celebrate improvements together.
You'll have real clinical autonomy: you make the clinical decisions, own your panel, and use telehealth strategically for stable follow-ups (Spravato is in-person per FDA REMS). And in a small, mission-driven team, you'll shape the practice with visible impact and a leadership voice as we grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adults with treatment-resistant conditions. Build and run the Spravato (esketamine) program, including REMS compliance and patient monitoring. Collaborate with our clinical team on ketamine infusion candidates and integrative treatment plans. Track and act on outcome measures. Contribute to protocol design and program development as the clinic expands.
REQUIREMENTS
Active Maryland Nurse Practitioner license (required), PMHNP-BC board certification, and DEA license with prescriptive authority. Psychiatric NP experience preferred — strong new graduates with solid psychiatric clinical training are encouraged to apply. Comfort with complex cases (treatment resistance, dual diagnosis, trauma, chronic conditions) and strong risk assessment skills. No ketamine or Spravato experience needed — we'll train you.
Preferred but not required: ketamine/Spravato experience, interest in integrative psychiatry, private practice experience, Spanish or other multilingual skills, subspecialty interests (perinatal, geriatric, trauma-focused).
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
$65-$75 per hour (1099 independent contractor), negotiable based on experience. Performance bonuses tied to patient outcomes and practice growth, with potential for partnership/equity as the clinic expands. Start part-time (2-3 days/week) while building your panel, with transition to full-time as demand grows.
